The Collective was born in 2014 in Dundee (Scotland) due to the curiosity and excitement of different artists (mainly related in the contemporary dance field) willing to collaborate and share their experiences and knowledge. Also with the intention of starting a movement that potentially embrace a bigger range of artists from different fields as well as people that is not necessarily involved in the art scene but have an interest to it.
The Collective is the perfect place for us to bring ideas that could potentially be developed into a further research towards the creation of more specific work. We organize improvisation performances with certain structure, introducing elements of our interest to experience what the reactions are and what we think it could go to a further study.
